More support for Businesses
Extra support will be available for Auckland businesses from mid-November, via a $60 million business support package. Eligible Auckland business will be able to apply for:
- advice and planning support,
- implementation of that advice, and
- health and wellbeing support.
We’ll provide more information in coming newsletters.
Child support payments
It’s now compulsory for employers to deduct child support payments from newly liable (paying) parents’ salaries or wages.
If you have an employee who becomes liable for child support payments, IRD will contact you with the information you’ll need to make these deductions on their behalf.
Child support deduction notices are now electronic instead of paper, so you’ll receive them quicker and they’ll be easier to keep track of.
Changes to the IRD system
The final phase of Inland Revenue’s Business Transformation programme has now been implemented and the changes to their systems are live.
This includes improvements to myIR, as well as other changes for businesses and employers.
The new layout makes it easier for you to see important information and complete common tasks directly from your myIR homepage
Road user charges made easier
The NZ Transport Agency has updated its system to enable you to buy up to six road user charges (RUC) licences with one payment.
You’ll receive a temporary label for each purchase.
